See Zelda as a Studio Ghibli film in this fan trailer

Nintendo has dabbled in mediums outside of games. Fans have seen television shows, books, and even a Hollywood Mario Brothers movies. But animator is working to help us all imagine what it would look like if the publisher partnered with the legendary animation company Studio Ghibli.

In 2015, artist Matt Vince released a series of posters that portrayed The Legend of Zelda as a film from Spirited Away director and Studio Ghibli founder Hayao Miyazaki. Now, months later, Vince is back with a short trailer that expands on that concept. The video shows a series of settings with a familiar score that echoes the musical style of Studio Ghibli composer Joe Hisaishi. Vince’s version of Hyrule closely emulates the Nintendo 64 release Ocarina of Time. The camera pans through Kokiri Forest, Kakariko Village, and Death Mountain before lingering on the Master Sword.
