Kinoa, an AI operating system for mobile app operations, today announced $10 million in funding led by Transcend Fund, with participation from Sisu Game Ventures. The capital will support Kinoa’s goal to give gaming and consumer app companies the tools to engage, retain, and monetize every user in real time using AI agents. The investment will expand Kinoa’s predictive models and deploy a new generation of AI agents that automate mobile app operations.
Founded by veterans of Playtika, Amazon, and Skai, Kinoa addresses a structural shift in the mobile market where user acquisition costs have surged more than 40% and targeting efficiency has fallen. As the market shifts to a retention economy, Kinoa turns user data into real-time decisions and actions.
“78% of the top thousand mobile games are seeing revenue decline with active live ops. Kinoa gives teams predictive superpowers, knowing exactly who will churn or pay before the signals are even visible. By connecting this intelligence to real-time execution, we’re enabling a single operator to deliver the precision, speed, and revenue impact of a ten-person team using our AI-powered operating system,” said Elias Sandler, co-founder & CEO, Kinoa, in a press release.
The platform gives companies the ability to anticipate which users are likely to churn, which will become high spenders, and which offer to surface to each segment at the decisive moment, then act on those predictions automatically.
“Kinoa gave us the ability to reach every user with the right experience at the right moment through personalized messages, dynamic offers, real-time feature changes, all without touching a line of code,” said Or Reznitsky, general manager, Tetris Block Party at Playstudios, in the same press release. “The impact was immediate, and Kinoa helped us achieve a 31% revenue increase and a 46% lift in payer conversion.”
Rather than a multi-year build process to develop this infrastructure internally, Kinoa offers an immediate alternative. Kinoa’s Execution Layer gives operators the ability to deliver dynamic and personalized in-app experiences, push notifications, real-time segmentation and feature changes, without code releases.
“Most mobile teams have more user data than they can act on. Kinoa turns that data into real-time decisions and execution, which is why we see LiveOps moving from manual workflows to intelligent infrastructure and beyond,” said Andrew Sheppard, managing director at Transcend Fund, in the press release.
Its Intelligence Layer, a suite of predictive models, anticipates user behavior and detects anomalies, allowing teams to act before a problem surfaces in revenue. Across its customer base, Kinoa consistently delivers over 25% revenue lift, and is already trusted by dozens of mobile gaming and app companies, including Playstudios, Playsimple, Modern Times Group (MTG), and GammaTime Shorts.
