Maestro Media, in collaboration with mobile game company Supercell, is bringing Clash Royale: The Grand Arena to Kickstarter this October.
Designed by David Gordon, Ryan Rodriguez & TAM, Clash Royale: The Grand Arena puts players directly in command of their own forces. Across a series of Battles, groups of 2–4 players build an eight-card deck around a General (Champion), then make strategic choices about where to deploy their cards, when to push an Attack and how to counter their opponent as they fight to destroy Towers and collect the most Crowns.
The Grand Arena brings familiar Clash Royale elements into a physical format while introducing new ways for players to strategize and adapt. Battles take place across two lanes, with beloved troops being deployed to trigger Dominance and damage rival cards in that lane. Players can upgrade or add characters to their decks between Battles, but need to manage their Elixir stocks to achieve this.
After playing cards, players can attack in both lanes by using their total Strength (Damage) to push through their rival’s cards before reaching their Guard Tower and finally their King’s Tower. But watch out: Towers hit back when damaged!
A complete match consists of at least two Battles, with players able to upgrade their decks between Battles by drafting Tier I and Tier II cards. The winner is determined by the number of Crowns collected, with a tiebreaker Battle taking place if the match is close. Destroying a King’s Tower claims three Crowns and wins outright.
“We’ve spent years building the experience and infrastructure to take great ideas and turn them into games that fans can actually get their hands on,” said Javon Frazier, founder and CEO of Maestro Media. “With Clash Royale: The Grand Arena, we’re excited to put that into action once again and finally bring this game to Kickstarter, giving the Clash Royale community a new way to play in a world they already love.”
GamesBeat asked Frazier why this collaboration could be game-changing for Clash Royale and what it could mean for the IP going forward.
“Clash Royale: The Grand Arena takes one of the world’s biggest mobile strategy games and brings it to the table for the first time. Players still build their decks, manage Elixir and fight to destroy Towers, but now they can do it across from other people in person. And for fans who have played Clash Royale for years, they can now experience the game they love with friends.”
“It shows that Clash Royale can live beyond the screen. It opens the game to a new audience of tabletop players and gives the existing community a new way to play together. After the success of Clash of Clans: The Epic Raid, we’re excited to keep working with Supercell to bring their iconic games to the table,” said Frazier.
Clash Royale: The Grand Arena is expected to launch on Kickstarter on October 20, 2026. Fans can visit the Kickstarter campaign page now and sign up to receive an alert when the campaign goes live.
The Grand Arena joins Clash of Clans: The Epic Raid in Maestro’s roster, which was backed on Kickstarter in 2025 and is currently available at retailers like Amazon and Target.
