Jae-cheol Lyu, CEO of LG Electronics, opened his CES 2026 press event with a focus on using AI and robots to create the “zero labor home.”
He noted that people still hand most of the tasks in homes with modern automation equipment. LG has orchestrated a platform where robots are home specialized agents.
“They will become part of our most personal space,” he said. “However, our ambition is to create more than just a home robot.”
LG will create special robots like appliance robots, taskmorphic robots, humanoid robots and more. He also said LG’s Affectionate Intelligence will make life easier throughout not just the home but your car and office too. LG is focused on human-centered innovation.

“AI-driven experiences should not be limited to a single space,” he said. “We are bringing AI from the screen and into your real life. We are ready to live the age of AI in action.”

LG also showed off razor-thin Wallpaper TVs with OLED evoAI technology. It has lossless video and audio, and it is only nine millimeters thick. It also has OLED hyper radiant color tech for 3.9 times brighter screens. It has an Alpha 11 Gen 3 AI engine. It has LG Sound Suite and Dolby Atmos FlexConnect. The TVs feature Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilo AI chat. You can ask the winning chances for teams playing a soccer match, and you can use the chat engines to create your own AI images on the TV screen.
The LG TV has a “my page” screen with your own personalized choices. It provides security via LG Shield with advanced encryption and hardware-based keys and advanced cryptography.
LG also has LLMs in its refrigerators to tell you where to store a pound of meat and suggestions to consume the meat within two weeks. A fridge camera identifies what ingredients you have and it can suggest meals to you. This set of AI agents will roll out with the LG Signature product line across LG appliances.
LG showed off Cloi, a robot that handles labor like doing laundry, preparing food and cleaning up. The aim is to reduce chores around the house to an effortless level. It is integrated with appliances like LG ThinQ On, an AI hub, to create a seamless total solution. ThinQ Up provides you with the latest updates around the home and ThinQ Care provides for care like security. LG has about seven years of industrial and commercial robot experience.
LG showed off imagery of its vision for self-driving cars, where screens can share visuals with you that tell you something about the environment, as you will now be more like a spectator than a driver. Such a car could have a big display that bridges you with the outside world and creates a connected space for you. The windshield becomes an intelligent canvas, displaying things like real-time traffic light countdowns.
