Galaxy on Fire devs launch Kickstarter for rougelike 3D space shooter

Rockfish Games is the latest developer moving from the rough-and-tumble world of mobile gaming to the PC — and it’s using Kickstarter to do so.

The company launched a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign today for Everspace, a roguelike 3D space shooter built with Unreal Engine 4. It is asking for $244,285. Rockfish previously developed the critically acclaimed Galaxy on Fire series of space-based mobile games. Everspace is for PC, but it could reach additional platforms if it passes its Kickstarter goal. It is targeting an October 2016 release and plans to have virtual reality support.
