Game job champion Amir Satvat said his Always Supporting the Games Community (AGSC) group has assisted 5,000 people in finding jobs in gaming.
It’s a job that never seems to end, as the game industry is always expanding — or always laying off game workers — and Satvat provides the most thorough collection of game job listings and other services like mentoring in the hopes of getting better positions for job seekers. It’s pretty amazing that Satvat does this work in his spare time.
In a post on LinkedIn, Satvat noted, “Friends, I want to take five minutes out of the incredible hardship that continues for our community and our industry to acknowledge a major milestone.”
He added, “I use the word acknowledge because I don’t even want to say something like celebrate. With nearly 15,000 laid off industry people (not including those who are early career or who simply gave up looking for industry work) still displaced, and many likely cuts and unpredictability to come, there are too many still hurting.”
Satvat’s data is perhaps the best there is when it comes to providing transparency for game job seekers. More than seven million people have visited his online community over time to date. And more than 10,000 people to date have done something to help those job seekers. He thanked all those people.
“As I always remind people, we don’t ‘get anybody a job.’ Candidates get themselves jobs and they deserve 100.0% of the credit,” he wrote.

He has collected data for four years and his 5,000 number is a convervative measure, Satvat said.
“It does also not count the much larger impact of the 4 out of 10 ASGC members who tell us we were a significant support for them, both in general and for their job search process, whether they found a role because of our support or not,” Satvat said.
His original goal, back when he started in November 2022, was to help just 100 people find employment.
“With every new milestone, my motivation and desire to continue to lead and to inspire this community grows. In fact, other than squeezing out every drop of family time this weekend, I have spent every other minute refining resources, responding to members, or preparing for upcoming situations,” he said. “My commitment to you and our games industry is total and I will ride with all of you to the end, whatever it may be.”
Please enjoy this for 5 minutes and then back to work for the industry. He thanked Desiree Rincon for creating the Amir the Diver themed art that helps draw attention to ASGC. Satvat was the winner of the “Up and Comer” award at our Visionary Awards at GamesBeat Summit 2026.
