TikTok Live is becoming a key channel for brands and advertisers looking to reach gamers.

At Gamescom 2026 this week, Stream Hatchet and TikTok plan to release a new data report that frames TikTok as gaming’s fastest-growing platform. GamesBeat took a sneak peek at the report ahead of its publication, and some of its numbers appear to back up this bold contention. During the first half of 2026, users watched 17.4 billion hours of livestreamed content on TikTok Live — more than Twitch and Kick combined, according to the data report. 1.62 billion of those hours were gaming content, representing a 7.6-percent increase in gaming content watched on TikTok Live between the first and second quarters of 2026.
