Zelda CD-i Lost Artwork Found: Why You Should Care

When the CD-i Zelda games are mentioned, anyone who knows about them automatically turns up his nose in disgust. You might remember the cartoon cinematics and dismiss both titles (wait, there were two?) when you've probably never played them for more than five minutes — if at all.

John Sczepaniak, the webmaster of the Hardcore Gaming 101 blog, came across artwork for Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon and Link: The Faces of Evil when clearing out files on an old laptop. Acquired while interviewing Dale DeSharone, who led the team behind the red-headed stepchildren of the Zelda universe, Sczepaniak has not made these pictures available before. They show a couple of games that might just be forgotten gems [via Tiny Cartridge]:
