Xbox ousts PlayStation to dominate game industry TV spend in February

Thanks to a big outlay during the Super Bowl, Microsoft’s Xbox has overtaken the gaming industry’s longtime spend leader PlayStation. Xbox accounted for over half (53.6 percent) of gaming industry TV spend last month, while longtime chart-topper PlayStation accounted for a measly 5.4 percent.

GamesBeat has partnered with iSpot.tv, the TV ad measurement and attribution company, to bring you a monthly report on how gaming brands are spending. The results below are for the top five gaming industry brands in February, ranked by estimated national TV ad spend.
