Publisher Electronic Arts is focusing on the cooperative and competitive modes for its upcoming Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare shooter based on developer PopCap’s popular tower-defense games. The title, which is due out in 2014 for Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC, has the warrior vegetation facing off against the well-armed undead in a third-person shooter game.
Due to that focus on multiplayer, EA doesn’t plan to have developer EA Canada implement a single-player campaign, according to Shack News. Instead, Garden Warfare will only have a four-player cooperative mode where players work together to fight off waves of enemy zombies and a 24-player team-based competitive mode. EA also revealed that it will price the title at $40 for Xbox One and $30 for Xbox 360 and PC.
