World of Warships sails into open beta starting today

Finally, you can watch two huge, lumbering opponents slowly pelt each other with attacks — and I’m not talking about when I get drunk and fight with my brother.

World of Warships is entering open beta worldwide today. Publisher Wargaming is inviting anyone who wants to join the free-to-play online shooter to start commanding their own enormous floating fortresses of death. The beta features over 80 ships from America and Japan along with 10 maps for 24-player battles. It has two modes that will pit teams of real players against one another or a team of players against computer-controlled opponents.
