Rainbow S.p.A., the company behind Winx Club, announced today that the fairy fantasy franchise is soon to join Roblox. In collaboration with developer Mapshot and brand strategy partner Spaceport.xyz, the company created Winx Club: Magix, set in Alfea and the Magix dimension. The game is set to launch on Roblox on September 15, ahead of the release of the series reboot Winx Club: The Magic is Back, which premieres on Netflix on October 2.
Winx Club: Magix is based on the show, which reboots the original series’ story. According to Rainbow and Mapshot, the game allows players to customize their own fairy avatars, train in magic powers in Alfea College and go on quests in Magix. Players can team up to tackle dungeons and collect items, with seasonal events planned for the future.
Iginio Straffi, creator of Winx Club and CEO of Rainbow, said in a statement, “We’re proud to bring the magic of Winx Club to the Roblox platform. We’ve always been committed to offering fans the very best, and this time we’re doing it in a bold new way blending Rainbow’s legacy of storytelling with the immersive, interactive experience that only Roblox can provide.” This isn’t the first time the Winx Club has joined online gaming platforms — Rainbow collaborated with Pocket Club last year to bring the characters to Highrise and Everskies.
Stephan Celis, Mapshot CEO, added, “Bringing the world of Winx Club into Roblox has been an incredible creative challenge and a dream opportunity for our team. We set out to capture the energy, style, and magic that fans have loved for years and translate it into gameplay that feels alive and full of exploration. Watching players step into Alfea, master their powers, and forge their own stories is exactly the kind of immersive experience Mapshot was built to create.”
