I must admit, I'm pretty terrible at Mortal Kombat and other games of its ilk. But hey, the upgraded visuals allow me to witness my character being pounded into dust with greater detail.
Video Blips:
• Mortal Kombat's launch is ushered in by plenty of shattered bones and gruesome fatalities. The taxis in this game are impressively realistic; they don't stop for anything.
Continue after the break for an overview of the upcoming Escalation DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops, a nifty dungeon creation kit in Hunted: The Demon's Forge, and the mixing of old and new in Sonic Generations.
• Outflank and outsnipe the competition in four new multiplayer maps heading to Call of Duty: Black Ops on May 3. American suburbs have pinochle night at the recreation center, Russian suburbs have piles of weapons ripe for the taking. Why do they get all the fun?
• The Crucible mode of Hunted: The Demon's Forge allows players to whip up their very own customized gauntlet. And no, I didn't mean the hand armor.
• Classic Sonic and modern Sonic team up to bring two styles of gameplay in Sonic Generations. I hope the most horrifying drowning music ever makes a return as well.
