Tilting Point, a free-to-play game publisher and provider of marketing services, has agreed to invest $40 million over the next year to fund user acquisition for South Korean game publisher and developer Joycity’s popular military strategy mobile game Gunship Battle: Total Warfare.
The New York-based Tilting Point has been providing such services for more than 30 mobile games, helping promising titles reach larger audiences through user-acquisition spending. But this deal is a bigger one because of the amount of money involved and the fact that Joycity is a public company in South Korea, with 700 employees and a market value of $300 million.
