Theorycraft launches Supervive 1.0 with massive overhaul on July 24

After four years of work and $87.5 million raised, Theorycraft Games is announcing the full 1.0 release of its Supervive game on July 24.

The free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game was previously in early access, where it had 17,000 reviews at a 90% positive rating on Steam.

The battle royale-meets-hero-shooter gameplay is pretty innovative and refined. The game will have its full release with a comprehensive overhaul to progression, game structure, the map, and more—redefining the experience while preserving the game’s signature lethal, free-flowing combat.

On July 17 at 9pm Pacific time, you can tune into Supervive’s YouTube channel, where Theorycraft CEO Joe Tung will break down the massive evolution coming to the game.

“Our 1.0 global launch is nothing less than a top-to-bottom overhaul of Supervive, with a ton of new content, overhauled progression and systems, new features, and a brand new foundational system that we think will fundamentally change how you play,” said Joe Tung, CEO of Theorycraft, in a statement. “I can’t wait to share more on July 17!”

In Supervive, face off in all-out, multi-squad teamfights; take down boss monsters for big loot; get that W and run it back. Squad up with friends and dive into 10-team battle royales, 2-player duos, or 4v4 deathmatches.

With 16 unique hunters, each with distinct abilities, players can build a team of hyper-styled heroes, all designed to be self-sufficient playmakers. Featuring dynamic map-based objectives and game-changing storm shifts, Supervive ensures that no game is ever the same. Supervive will always be free-to-play and is designed to ensure that cosmetics are the only in-game purchases, with no pay-for-power elements, ever.

Theorycraft Games is an independent game studio on a mission to make deep, 10,000-hour games that are just better when played with friends. Theorycraft was formed in December 2020 by a founding team that includes Joe Tung, Mike Tipul, Michael Evans, and Areeb Pirani – former studio leaders at Riot Games, Bungie, and Blizzard Entertainment.

Collectively they led the development of games such as League of Legends, Halo, Destiny, Overwatch, and Valorant. It’s nice to see a big venture-backed game get to this point, as we’ve followed the company from the day it came out of stealth mode.
