The history of Sonic the Hedgehog on the Game Gear

A lot of people remember and love Sonic the Hedgehog’s 16-bit adventures on the Genesis. It’s time his Game Gear games get a little attention.

YouTube channel Gaming Historian has released a new video that looks at the history of Sega’s mascot on the classic portable. It spends time on all 10 (yup, Sega actually made 10) of the Sonic games available on the Game Gear.

Some were great, some were bad, and some were horribly hampered by the handheld’s limitations. Still, it’s a fun trip through nostalgia and gaming history.
