Square Enix finally shows Final Fantasy 7 Remake gameplay

We finally got a glimpse at the much-anticipated remake of Final Fantasy VII. Developer Square Enix debuted new footage of the role-playing game during Sony’s second State of Play broadcast.

Originally released on the first PlayStation console in 1997, Final Fantasy VII is one of the most beloved Japanese role-playing games of all time. Players fell in love with its sweeping soundtrack and its memorable tale of an evil corporation literally sucking the lifeblood out of the planet. It was also one of the first console games to make use of the CD-ROM’s capability to show fully animated cutscenes.
