Curveball Leisure, a distributor of games and consumer electronics, announced the
launch of Curveball Games, an ambitious new video game publishing division aimed
at providing full-service publishing support and funding for unique digital and physical
titles from indie to double-A.
Curveball Games is helmed by Senior Publishing Manager Ed Gregory, formerly of
PlayStation and PQube.
“The industry’s faced real turbulence over the past two years and while there’s evidently still some bumpy roads ahead, we are still seeing some nimble green shoots of recovery,” said Gregory, in a statement. “This moment calls for a fresh approach and that’s where Curveball Games comes in. Passion drives this industry, but studios need more than passion to thrive. Our role as a publisher is to champion developers, nurture creativity, and provide the support they truly need. With our team’s experience and the backing of the wider Curveball group, we feel we’re in a strong position to help surface the next wave of standout talent.”
Gregory will report directly into Curveball CCO Andrew Naunton and will be
headquartered out of Cardiff, United Kingdom. This marks the second addition to Curveball’s portfolio, with Curveball Games sitting alongside the retail division, The Game
Collection, which recently saw its own highly successful expansion into the collectibles market.
Naunton said in a statement, “Over the past 20 years, Curveball has grown from humble beginnings into one of Wales’ growing success stories, rooted in the physical media market, a space where we’ve built a strong global presence and remain deeply invested.”

He added, “The launch of Curveball Games marks a new chapter for us. It’s a natural evolution that allows us to broaden our reach and bring fresh energy to our brand. We’re combining our proven infrastructure, industry knowledge, and passion for great games to empower developers with the resources, transparency, and collaboration they need to thrive. We know this is a bold step and we’re in it for the full ride. From resourcing to
investment, we’re dedicated to building enduring partnerships that elevate creativity
and provide everything needed to make both our titles and Curveball Games a success.”
Stuart Harries, Curveball CEO, said in a statement, “Over the past year, Curveball Leisure
has been exploring the video game publishing space with real curiosity and drive, supported by fantastic industry partners. It’s been an eye-opening and invaluable experience for the entire team. My hope is that the formation and launch of Curveball
Games is both a signal of our confidence in the industry and a commitment to
developers, we’re here to support, not just today, but for the long term. We’re not
chasing overnight success. This is a sustained investment, and I have full confidence
that Ed and his team will build something truly meaningful over the years to come.”
“Every publisher is chasing the next big thing, but for us, it’s about finding games that
excite us and resonate with who we are,” said Gregory. “We want to give every developer we work with both a voice and a platform, help them cut through the noise. I’m thrilled to be leading the team as we take this next step.”

Gregory is joined by recent hires Product Marketing Manager James Megretton, previously of Sumo Digital and PR & Community Manager, Richard Flint previously of PQube. Further expansion of the team is anticipated moving into 2026. Curveball Games has already established partnerships with Wales Interactive, Top Hat Studios, Duality Games, Reignite Group, industry legend Kevin Toms and Norwegian indie outfit Riddlebit Software on several future physical and digital releases.
Founded in 2004, Curveball is a market-leading worldwide distributor and publisher of video games and consumer electronics, headquartered in Swansea, Wales.

Over the last twenty years, Curveball has grown to become one of Europe’s largest video game distributors, and a market-leading wholesaler and retailer of video games and consumer electronics with an established and trusted network of global distribution partners.
Curveball’s publishing arm was formed in 2024, with the aim of finding games that the team loves and leveraging extensive experience and established networks to help bring them to market. In July 2024, the firm released our first title in collaboration with Wales Interactive, the hit FPS game Sker Ritual, following that up with a PS5 re-release of acclaimed horror-adventure Maid of Sker later that year.
