Someone is re-creating San Francisco in Cities: Skylines

Maybe you can’t afford real estate in the real San Francisco. Well, why don’t you just make your own digital City by the Bay instead?

A gamer is using the urban-management game Cities: Skylines to re-create San Francisco to a 1-to-1.5 scale. This means that everything in the game is exactly half the size it is in real life, and this individual, who goes by the name Norrus on Imgur, has already mapped out Union Square, the Financial District, and a ton more. They are still working on the southern portion of the city, which includes the Bayview, Bernal Heights, and Visitacion neighborhoods. But it already looks very familiar, and you can already see things like the Moscone Center and Golden Gate Park. This is just the latest fan-made creation for this young game, and it joins a list of incredible works like Los Santos from Grand Theft Auto V as well as starter maps for Portland, Vancouver, and Washington, D.C.
