My recent travels included a whirlwind of cities including Cologne, Germany; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; Dubai, United Arab Emirates; and Seattle, Washington. It was privilege to revisit these places where I made great professional connections. But on a personal front, it was kind of a comedy of travel errors. I’ll preface by saying I have learned to travel with backups as a frequent road warrior. I took a new HP EliteBook X G1i laptop computer with AI PC features. I used it for work and luckily plugged it into the airplane’s 3-prong electrical socket on my United flight. I also used a spare Dynabook Portege Z40L-N laptop in case the battery ran out. Even when not plugged in, these laptops gave me hours of battery life that made it so I could always be on a laptop while on my 11-hour flight.
