Roblox announces Team USA Olympic and Paralympic Games partnership

Roblox announced today that it is working with NBCUniversal and Team USA to bring the 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games to its users. The U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee and NBCUniversal created a custom experience on Roblox’s platform in partnership with developer Monks, called the “Team USA Ultimate Obby,” which features multiple different Olympic/Paralympic-related features as well as in-game avatars of 20 Team USA athletes. The experience goes live on Roblox today for American fans ahead of the July 26 opening ceremony.

The Ultimate Obby features an obstacle course themed around Olympic and Paralympic sports called Game Mountain, the Peacock Fan Zone where players can watch highlights and host broadcasts of their own, a scavenger hunt in the Team USA museum, a replica of the Team USA house, a Team USA shop for players to outfit their avatars in patriotic gear and a countdown to the opening ceremony. There are also five emotes based around Breaking, with one available for purchase and four available for free. The experience also features the 20 Team USA athlete avatars as NPCs. These include:
