Resolution Games raises $7.5 million for AR/VR games

Scandinavia’s Resolution Games has raised $7.5 million for augmented reality and virtual reality development. While funding for virtual reality game makers aren’t what they used to be, Resolution Games is proving that a solid track record and an expansion into augmented reality can still inspire investors to pour money into a AR/VR venture.

In a few short years, the Stockholm-based Resolution Games has inspired confidence that it knows what it’s doing in the fledgling markets of AR and VR, which could take years to develop. The studio has had hit games such as Bait! for both VR and AR. It also just created Rovio’s Angry Birds FPS: First Person Slingshot for the Magic Leap One Creator Edition AR glasses.
