NES Music Cartridge: Put That Old Doorstop to Good Use

If the soothing soundtracks of Kid Icarus or the original Metroid still bring a smile to your face, and you would like to keep hearing more 8-bit melodies, this is the gift for you. The catch is, you have to own a Nintendo Entertainment System. An electronic recording artist (is that even a job?) named Animalstyle is releasing an NES cartridge full of brand-new, original “chiptunes” using the systems often imitated, never duplicated sound board.

Animalstyle has a ton of 8-bit music he created on his site, including a tribute to Weezer. If he’s taking requests, we would love to hear the digitized version of “Stairway to Heaven.”
