Developer Naughty Dog has revealed its downloadable content plans for The Last of Us, its survival-shooter originally released last June for the Sony PlayStation 3.
The Abandoned Territories Map Pack comes first. Scheduled for Oct. 15, it adds four new maps to the multiplayer modes, including levels set in a bookstore and a bus depot (complete with giraffes roaming in the background).
After that comes the first story-driven DLC for The Last of Us, set for December/January, of which Naughty Dog revealed little other than to say it has completed casting for a new character. The final announced DLC is another expansion for the multiplayer component, scheduled for release in the first half of 2014.
All three packs are part of The Last of Us’s season pass of DLC. Naughty Dog is also adding bonus items to the season pass, specifically over 60 hats and other head items.
