Minecraft celebrates three years on console with free skins for Xbox One and Xbox 360

Minecraft is three on console, and it’s giving presents out to all its Xbox One and Xbox 360 players.

The open-world block-building phenomenon first appeared on Xbox 360 three years ago this Saturday. It was Minecraft’s console debut, and developer Mojang is celebrating by giving away three skin packs on Xbox One and Xbox 360 that let you change the appearance of your in-game character. Microsoft bought Mojang for $2.5 billion last September, and Minecraft will now be integral to Microsoft’s in-development HoloLens technology, which projects virtual holograms into the your view of the real world.
