Microsoft gets Hideki Kamiya's Scalebound as an Xbox exclusive

LOS ANGELES — Microsoft announced that it will get an exclusive game, Scalebound, from Hideki Kamiya’s Platinum Games studio.

Kamiya appeared onstage at Microsoft’s Xbox press conference at the beginning of the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) trade how in Los Angeles. Kamiya’s credits include games like Resident Evil and Devil May Cry.

In a video, Kamiya showed the fantasy game in the middle of a chase scene. A monster was chasing an archer (wearing headphones that looked a lot like a pair of Beats) through the middle of a green forest. He stopped in a clearing, only to run into a fire-breathing dragon. Then he smirked, moved out of the way, and the dragon shot its flames at the pursuing creature. A huge, noisy fight proceeded to break out.

There wasn’t much more to say about it. But hey, dragons, combat, and pretty graphics. What’s not to like?
