Kingdom Hearts IV announced by Square Enix

Square Enix announced Kingdom Hearts IV today during a 20th anniversary event for the franchise.

Kingdom Hearts III released in 2019. That entry came out over a decade after the release of 2005’s Kingdom Hearts II. However, Square Enix released multiple spin-off titles between those numbered entries. We’ve only had one spin-off, the 2020 music game Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory, release after Kingdom Hearts III so far.
