The Global Gaming League (GGL) — the show that blends gaming, music, sports, and celebrity culture — announced that Howie Mandel has joined as its newest celebrity team owner.
Mandel’s team, “Howie Do It,” will make its live debut at the GGL’s SZN ZERO Match Two on October 29 in Las Vegas, with the full Hollywood-produced competition expected to premiere globally via YouTube on November 12.
“Gaming is the biggest entertainment platform in the world — bigger than movies, music, and television combined,” said Mandel, the star of shows like Deal or No Deal, in a statement. “What the Global Gaming League is building reminds me of the early days of the NFL, WWE, or UFC — but this time there are billions of people ready to join in.”
Entertainment visionary Clinton Sparks (who will be a speaker at GamesBeat Next on November 12-13 in San Francisco), along with his partners Grammy-winning artist and streaming icon T-Pain, and Priceline cofounder Jeff Hoffman, started the GGL as a professional sport — complete with celebrity ownership, live events, and global media distribution.
“Having Howie join validates everything we’re building,” said Sparks, CEO of GGL, in a statement. “He represents creativity, humor, and heart — and he is actually passionate gaming. The GGL exists to connect cultures, bridge generations, and give everyone a platform to rise.”
Each GGL team serves as a creative and cultural hub — connecting fans, creators, and brands. With celebrity owners including Ne-Yo, Flavor Flav, and now Howie Mandel, the league is uniting entertainment, entrepreneurship, and competitive gaming like never before.
“Owning a GGL team comes with the same prestige and upside as any pro sports franchise,” said Hoffman, GGL chairman, in a statement. “It’s where culture, commerce, and community collide — and one of the smartest opportunities in entertainment today.”
The GGL features live matches that combine high-stakes competition, superstar hosts, and halftime performances, merging music, gaming, fashion, and celebrity into one next-level entertainment experience.

Howie Mandel was introduced to GGL by David Nussbaum, founder of Proto Hologram, where Mandel serves as an advisor and investor.
