Hideo Kojima shows off new Xbox game OD at The Game Awards

We had a great bro moment between Hideo Kojima and Geoff Keighley as Kojima Productions showed off OD, a new game for the Xbox.

OD featured various 3D-animated people with realistic speaking to a camera and having some kind of mental meltdown. This game uses Xbox’s cloud-gaming technology. It’s aiming to offer something immersive and is “something no one has seen before” and a “new type of medium.” Kojima made a grand entrance, coming out of a door on stage with a bunch of fog.

It also featured Jordan Peele, the horror filmmaker who made films such as Get Out. Peele said Kojima is putting you in the shoes of another character, and he said it is utterly terrifying. He said he was glad to be collaborating with the GOAT. Kojima said there are more collaborators that he dubs The Avengers. Peele said the game would be crazy.
