Gamers go crazy on Halo: Reach multiplayer matches

Engagement is the name of the game these days. The more time people spend with a game, the more you know it is a must-have product. Clearly, fans of Halo: Reach are pretty engaged in their game.

Game developer Bungie said today that, six days after the game went on sale, more than 31 million multiplayer games have been played. Bungie said that Halo: Reach has had more concurrent players (or simultaneous game players) than the all-time high for Halo 3. That number is above 700,000 concurrent players.

Microsoft, which published the game made by Bungie, said the game sold more than $200 million worth of merchandise in its first 24 hours of going on sale on Sept. 14.
