Form has been been making augmented-reality swim goggles for years, and today the next generation has arrived with the Form Smart Swim 2 Pro, which for the first time uses Corning Gorilla Glass for durability.
It also delivers a permanent fog-free experience, plus a full slate of new software features.

And then there’s me. I use it to count my laps in the pool. It never loses count because it uses accelerometers to detect when you change directions. It also counts how many seconds it takes you to cross the pool, and it has an accurate heart rate monitor that shows how fast your heart is beating in real time. I swim hard enough to make sure my heart rate goes above 130 beats per minute, and occasionally I swim beyond 140. I can see the numbers in yellow lighting on the display in front of my eyes.
Form Smart Swim 2 PRO has been engineered to excel when training and racing in the most demanding swim environments, as you can use it in a pool or in open water. For this year’s version, Form has integrated Gorilla Glass 3, with its proven toughness in mobile and wearable devices, to help protect the internal and external goggle lenses. The Form custom-engineered lens stack enhances optical quality and provides a UPF rating of 50+, blocking 98% of harmful UV rays. Unlike standard swim goggles with plastic lenses and a factory-applied anti-fog coating that can degrade over time, Smart Swim 2 PRO features a user-applied anti-fog solution on durable Gorilla Glass 3 lenses to ensure each swim is fog-free, year after year. I used it and it stings my eyes a little, so you have to use a very small amount of the fluid, mixed with water.
Included with each Smart Swim 2 PRO is a 10 mL anti-fog spray and a 10 mL concentrate for easy replenishment. Combined, this provides over 175 swim applications. The process is simple – before a swim, apply one spray in each lens, spread around, and rinse with water — a ten-second process to provide clear visibility and a fog-free swim, regardless of the conditions.

Eisenhardt, swam competitively for 14 years before starting his career as a sports technology entrepreneur and sold his previous sports technology company to Intel. He started Form in 2016 in Vancouver, Canada, and it started shipping its goggles in 2019.
Form introduced real-time metrics, activity tracking, and data visualization to the triathlon and swimming world with the release of the Form Smart Swim Goggles in 2019. In 2021, the company expanded its offerings with guided in-goggle workouts and training plans.
HeadCoach came out with training advice in 2023. I’ve used the goggles for years and they do a great job of keeping track of your swimming times and laps.
