One of the best movie series ever made is the Evil Dead trilogy. Many of us Deadities still have fond memories of the scares we experienced as kids while watching these ultracheesy horrorfests (though we may never forgive director Sam Raimi for not making a fourth movie where Ash walks around killing zombies in a postapocalyptic world).
One incredible pixel-artist has gone a step further, showing us what it could have been like to have an equally kick-ass 8-bit role-playing game on our then-new Nintendo Entertainment Systems [via Tiny Cartridge]:
