European wins Pokémon World Championship for the first time

Pokémon history was made over the weekend when Italy’s Arash Ommati defeated Japan’s Ryouske Kosuge in the finals of the Masters Division World Pokémon Championships. This is the first time that a European has won the most prestigious event in competitive Pokémon.
