EA’s holiday season by the numbers: 18B minutes played in FIFA (infographic)

Madden NFL 25 fans essentially played 10,000 seasons’ worth of football on New Year’s Eve.

Electronic Arts flexed its data-science muscles by releasing an infographic with data from its gamers. The big game publisher said, among other things, that 2.8 million people played Madden on New Year’s Eve. It also said the most popular day for its Origin online game service was Dec. 26 and that FIFA players racked up 18 billion minutes in the soccer sim from October to December.
