EA promises free Star Wars: Battlefront maps beyond the Battle of Jakku DLC

Star Wars: Battlefront is a little light on content, but it’s getting more — and not just for players buying the $50 season pass.

Publisher Electronic Arts has revealed that we’ll be getting more free Battlefront maps and Star Cards (which give players extra gadgets and abilities) after the upcoming Battle of Jakku DLC, which launches Dec 1 for anyone that pre-ordered the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC shooter (and a week later for everyone else). This is the first time that EA has mentioned the idea of ongoing free content for Battlefront, and it sounds like a good way to keep players engaged in a multiplayer game that’s initially thrilling but can quickly get repetitive.
