Publisher EA and developer Crytek announced the minimum, recommended, and optimum specifications for the upcoming first-person shooter. For those hoping to get the most out of the cybernetically enhanced action, they’re going to need a substantial set of components. Here’s what it takes to run Crysis 3 on its highest settings:
- Latest DirectX 11 graphics card (either of the following or better)
- Nvidia GTX 680
- AMD Radeon HD7970
- Latest quad-core CPU (either of the following or better)
- Intel Core i7-2600k
- AMD Bulldozer FX4150
- 8GB RAM
- Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
A juiced-up desktop like that generally starts at around $1,500, but that’s what it takes to make Crysis 3 run at 60 frames per second with all the magic running on the ultrahigh setting.
