Colorful heist game Monaco out now for Xbox Live Arcade

Pocketwatch Games

Monaco is about the joys of thieving with friends. As usual, that’s most fun when you’re all sitting on the couch together. Developer Pocketwatch Games added that functionality to the PC and Xbox Live Arcade versions, but that type of couch co-op suits Microsoft’s console a bit better than a desktop computer.

That’s why it’s exciting that Monaco: What’s Yours is Mine is finally out for the Xbox 360 today. The title hit PC on April 24 for $15, but technical difficulties forced the studio to bump it back two weeks for Microsoft’s hardware. The wait is over now, and gamers can grab the cooperative robbery title for 1,200 Microsoft Points ($15).

Monaco is a top-down action-adventure title that puts players into the roles of specialized thieves. In single-player, gamers can pick one character and try to tackle the level. If that robber dies, players can select one of the other bandits to finish the stage.

In multiplayer, up to four players can select their own character and tackle a level with a deeply strategic plan or — more likely — with reckless abandon and chaos.
