Christmas Light Apocalypse: 1.21 Gigawatt Guitar Hero

A 40-inch HDTV and surround sound would be enough to satisfy almost any Guitar Hero fan’s desire for the best game-playing experience. Not former Disney ‘imagineer’ Ric Turner. He went and created this working Christmas light version of the music-genre hit using 21,268 lights and LEDs plus a whole hell of a lot of imagination [Neatorama via Geekologie]:

The game plays Eric Johnson’s guitar instrumental “Cliffs of Dover,” and even broadcasts out to a local FM radio station. When we think of overzealous Christmas light spectacles, we will no longer think of Clark Griswold — that is an accomplishment to be proud of.
