Build a Rocket Boy announced today that it has closed its Series D fundraising round, in which it raised over $110 million. According to the studio, it plans to use that funding to finally launch its community gaming platform, Everywhere, and a set of UGC tools called Arcadia, as well as the first episode of its single-player narrative game Mindseye.
The studio describes Everywhere as a community-driven game and “a place where you can unleash your imagination to build, play and connect,” and where players can also build their own experiences. To that end, Build a Rocket Boy is also planning to launch its second flagship product, its Arcadia UGC tools. The studio claims that these tools are accessible to all skill levels. Mindseye, on the other hand, is a single-player story-driven science fiction title. Build a Rocket Boy dropped the trailer for the title last March, and it’ll be available to play within Everywhere.
