Bloodstained gets support from the 2D experts at WayForward

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is one of the most successful Kickstarter crowdfunding projects from 2015, and it is still in development. But now, a new team is coming in to support production of the Metroidvania-style action game. Shantae: Half-Genie Hero studio WayForward Technologies is joining developers ArtPlay and DICO. Together, all three will polish up the game for its release in 2019.

“As you may already know, [WayForward is] top-tier when it comes to side-scrolling action games,” Iga wrote in a blog post. “There is even a staff member who previously worked on one of my projects, which is incredibly encouraging.”
