Arkadium launches Multiplayer Chess Online on July 20

Arkadium announced today that it is celebrating International Chess Day on July 20 with the launch of a new game: Multiplayer Chess Online. As the name suggests, this game — which is part of Arkadium’s online platform and can be played on PC and mobile devices — offers players the chance to face off on the chess board with others around the world. It’ll be available to play on Arkadium’s site with no downloads necessary this coming weekend.

Multiplayer Chess Online offers players public and private matches, with eleven difficulty levels ranging from trivial to grandmaster. The multiplayer options range from coded rooms for friends to Local Play for matchups with nearby enthusiasts. Players can also spectate other matches with the Rooms feature, which shows all public matches — if players can’t join, they can watch to pick up tips on how to improve their own play.
