Blobo: The Poor Man’s Wii

You might know someone who is falling behind in the Wii revolution — everyone is holding on to a piece of plastic and wildly flapping their arms at their TVs, but maybe even the $200 price tag is too high for some. A new Finnish device called Blobo has got you covered. At less than half the price of the genuine Nintendo article, Blobo is a golf-sized ball equipped with “future sensor technology” that mimics your movement and translates it to cutesy Lego-looking characters in games on your TV screen [via Bloboshop]:

Blobo games are even available on your PC and Nokia cell phone, with add-ons and more sports games to come. And you thought the Japanese had cornered the market on gimmicky motion-sensing video games and peripherals….
