Allied Esports Entertainment goes public in deal with Black Ridge Acquisition

Allied Esports Entertainment, the creator of esports venues and live events for both video games and poker, has gone public in a transaction with Black Ridge Acquisition Corp.

Under the deal, Black Ridge — a public shell company created to acquire another firm — has acquired Allied Esports International and WPT Enterprises, and the resulting company will rename itself Allied Esports Entertainment. Allied Esports Entertainment is known for creating the Esports Arena at the Luxor Hotel with MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas, and it is also known for its World Poker Tour events.
