Oops.

Sony’s PlayStation Blog revealed today that Final Fantasy Type-0 HD would be coming to the PlayStation 4 console and PlayStation Vita. But the publisher quickly backpedaled, correcting the post to show it was not coming to Vita.

Considering that Type-0 HD is a remaster of a 2011 action-role-playing game for the PSP in Japan (set in the same “Fabula Nova Crystallis” world of the Final Fantasy XIII games and the upcoming Final Fantasy XV), it’s a head-scratcher why it’s not coming to Sony’s overlooked handheld. It’s also coming to the Xbox One. Sony didn’t reveal when it’s coming out.

The update on the PlayStation blog reads:

Update: An earlier headline for this post stated that Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is coming to PS Vita, which was incorrect. Type-0 is coming to PS4 in North America and Europe.

Fans were bummed after Monday’s big press conferences shut out Japanese role-playing games — not one appeared onstage. Nintendo broke the drought with Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire and Xenoblade Chronicles X this morning along with a smaller 3DS game, Fantasy Life from noted JRPG development house Level-5.
