The world’s most famous yellow electric rat is about to get his own detective game.

Nintendo revealed that it is developing a new Pokémon game that will have players working with a detective Pikachu, according to Japanese television show The Professionals (as first spotted by Pokémon news website Serebii). The show was covering The Pokémon Company chief executive officer Tsunekaz Ishihara in a profile, and Ishihara had his developers demonstrate the Pikachu game and a new Pokémon puzzler.

In the untitled Pikachu game, players will use a magnifying glass and other tools to help Pikachu uncover mysteries. It’s just like Sherlock Holmes, only instead of a cocaine-dependent British genius, the main character is a pocket monster who can only say his own name. Gamers will even have to fight off a Pikachu version of Moriarty, which takes the form of an evil version of Pikachu.

The game isn’t expected to debut anytime soon, as it’s still early in its two-year development cycle, according to Japanese public-broadcast channel NHK.

The other game Ishihara demonstrated during his appearance on The Professionals is a 3DS update to the 2005 release Pokémon Trozei. It’s a variation on Tetris that has different-shaped blocks made of Pokémon falling from the top of the screen. According to Serebii, the developers mentioned that they might release it on the Nintendo eShop for digital download.
