Madden 25 has already been out for more than a month for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but EA has decided to show us just how much better the upcoming next-gen versions of the annual NFL simulator will look. And it looks almost as good as a Pittsburgh Steelers’ 0-4 record to this Cleveland Browns fan.
The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Madden 25 have 10 times the visual detail and up to four times the texture resolution of their last-gen counterparts, EA claims.
“Players will wear the signs of their on-field battle, with mud, paint, and more smeared all over their jerseys and bodies thanks to new field and uniform degradation,” EA stated in a press release. “Uncompressed animations on the field and on the sideline make every movement more powerful, and fifty-six percent more pixels in every frame means unparalleled detail in everything from each uniform stitch to every blade of grass. Furthermore, enhanced lighting for every time of day makes every game look great no matter what time you’re playing.”
You can see just how nice next-gen Madden looks for yourself in the trailer below. Madden 25 is a launch title for both upcoming systems. The PlayStation 4 comes out first on Nov. 15, followed by the Xbox One on Nov. 22.
