Preorder Destiny on Amazon, get beta access (updated)

Updated 8:15 a.m. Pacific time.

Early access; it’s your destiny.

You can explore the worlds of Destiny, the upcoming online first-person shooter from developer Bungie, early with a preorder. That’s according to a listing on Amazon, as originally spotted by IGN. Bungie confirmed the existence of the beta in a press release.

The Amazon page states that preordering grants you access early next year on all four of the game’s platforms (Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3). Amazon has a limited supply of beta codes, according to the listing.

Destiny is Bungie’s anticipated followup to Halo, the first-person shooter series that became a giant hit for Microsoft’s Xbox and Xbox 360 consoles. Destiiny is Bungie’s first project with new publisher Activision. It’s set in a massive, persistent online world.

Destiny is currently planned for a 2014 release. Bungie also released a new gameplay trailer, which you can watch below.
