Video Blips: Portal 2, Resident Evil, Brink, and more

The Video Blips saddle never felt more inviting to return to, especially after spending a spring break week being forced to comb the desolate deserts of Arrakis for spice deposits. I guess it serves me right for responding to that dodgily written "get paid to travel!" ad on craigslist.

Video Blips:

• Aperture Science's pleas for gobs of investment funds continues with this advertisement for Portal 2's personable turret guns. Sample features include an empathy generator, empathy suppressor, and enough chassis colors to furnish any kind of crazy home decor scheme.

Continue after the break for Resident Evil's 15-year-long reign of grotesque monsters and baffling backstories, Brink's extensive library of customizable gadgets and weapons, and the launch trailer for Red Faction: Battlegrounds.

• The past, present, and future of the mammoth Resident Evil franchise is explored in this trailer. Fifteen years is a long time to plug away at the infected dead, but if Capcom keeps making 'em, I'll keep playing 'em.

• Deck out your Brink character with a wide array of gadgets and perks. I hope some sort of "new wardrobe" perk exists; some of the game's available attire looks a little ridiculous.

• You'd think sky-blue paint would be hard to come by on Mars, but no — it's classic red versus blue action in Red Faction: Battlegrounds. Me, I'd paint my tank with an alternating pattern of red and blue. Either I'll succeed in confusing the opposition, or I'll evaporate in a puff of smoke after being blasted to bits by both sides.
