Most gamers would probably agree that playing games solo can be fun, but going co-op is ideal. And so it goes with Bitmob. We’ve decided to partner up with game-trading company Goozex, and we’re kicking off this collaboration with a contest for the upcoming Xbox 360 Halo: Reach Limited Edition Console bundle.
Details on just what Goozex is and how it works, as well as how you can enter the contest, after the jump.
OK, so what’s the deal with this funny-sounding Goozex site? Simply put, it connects members across the country to trade games and movies using a virtual currency system. We feel this is a good match for Bitmob’s readers — we know most of you already play a ton of games, so why not help you save money by trading for games that you might have missed? A few quick points on how the system works:
- You list the games and movies you want to offer to trade, and Goozex finds matches for you. Each item is given a value.
- You then send off your product, at which point you earn the points that you can use to request other games or movies.
- Finally, you add games and movies to your request list. You will need enough points, as well as one Goozex Trade Token (which costs $1), per trade.
Even better, Bitmob members can use coupon code BITMOB to get three free tokens when signing up here (be sure to click the "Optional Information" button near the bottom of the sign-up page to enter the code): Goozex sign-up. This also enters you into the Goozex-sponsored contest for the Xbox 360 Halo: Reach Limited Edition Console bundle (due out Sept. 14). No purchase is necessary for the promotion, and the official rules can be found here. The contest runs through August 16, 2010.
Going forward, you can expect more contests, as well as a regular top 10 list from Goozex that we’ll be featuring here on Bitmob. Finally, if you have any questions about any of this or how Goozex works, let us know in the comments, and we’ll fill you in.
