FlowPlay distributes its games through Miniclip

FlowPlay is announcing today it will distribute its online games through Miniclip, one of the biggest casual online game portals.

Seattle-based FlowPlay said the long-term agreement gives the company access to Miniclip’s 50 million monthly gamers, who play a variety of games on its site.

FlowPlay makes ourWorld, a web-based virtual world with movie theaters, night clubs, etc. Entrance to the world is free, but the world is a vehicle for virtual goods transactions, with more than 10,000 items that visitors can buy. The world has been in development for more than two years. It launched beta testing in April, 2008 and has had more than 600,000 player registrations.

The ourWorld virtual world has a bunch of mini casual games inside it. Virtual worlds are a crowded market. Small players have to cut these kinds of deals to survive and reach new users.

FlowPlay raised $3.7 million in February, 2008, from Intel Capital and Ambient Sound Investments.
